Jessica Beebe, soprano

Soprano Jessica Beebe has been lauded as “an expressive, rich soprano who performs with heart-rending passion”, “a bright, young operatic star with a great talent” and a “honey-colored soprano” from Opera News. Ms. Beebe is a native of Philadelphia, earning degrees from University of Delaware, Indiana University in Early Music and a performance certificate from The Royal College of Music in London.

As a concert soloist, Ms. Beebe has appeared in most concert works including Handel’s Messiah with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Raymond Leppard in 2011 and 2013. Several opera roles include Dido (Dido and Aeneas), Despina (Così fan tutte), Zerlina (Don Giovanni), La Gloire (Alceste), Daughter 1 (Akhnaten), Gretel (Hansel and Gretel), Barbarina (Le nozze di Figaro), Lila (Cold Mountain, Opera Philadelphia cover), Niece 1 (Peter Grimes) with The Princeton Opera Festival and Euridice (Orfeo ed Euridice) with Ensemble Oregon.

Ms. Beebe is also an avid choral singer, performing with The Crossing, Clarion Society, Cathedra, Variant Six and Choral Arts Society of Philadelphia.
